Exciton Technologies founder and CEO Rod Precht is an experienced chemical engineer, inventor, and corporate leader. Rod draws on his own experience in successfully commercializing silver wound dressing products to guide Exciton’s development and growth.
Prior to his retirement in 2011, Richard Hughes held the position of Director of Finance, Alberta Pensions Services Corporation. A high integrity, energetic professional with 35 years of business experience, Richard can recognize, envision and create successful outcomes in complex situations.
Mitch Regnier is an experienced industrial engineer and project manager with a strong background in the development of silver wound care technology. Mitch heads up Exciton’s manufacturing capabilities as it progresses from the lab into commercial-scale production.
Brian Bennett has more than eleven years of industry experience that ranges from scientific research work to the management of a national pharmaceutical company. As the VP of Business Development, Brian directs Exciton's business growth strategies and oversees marketing and sales.
Ron has been in the Medical Industry for over 30 years since his start with a division of Baxter Travenol. He has held district, regional, and national sales management positions with Medtronic, Intertech Resources, Ball Medical, Summit Technology and Westaim Biomedical.

Carla has developed various projects including nanomaterials, crystallography, organic synthesis, and formulation. After graduating with a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary where she specialized in inorganic and analytical chemistry, Carla completed her Ph.D. in 2008 at McGill University in Montreal, with Dr. D.S. Bohle, the Canadian Chair in Bioinorganic chemistry.
Melanie is an experienced Quality Assurance professional with 12 years experience in GMP operations. She graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with an honors diploma in Chemical technology and has since worked for leading Contract Manufacturing Organizations within the Pharmaceutical industry assisting them in the establishment and maintenance of Quality Systems.
