Exciton Announces New Patent

Exciton Technologies Inc. strengthens its patent position with a newly issued US patent 7,998,504. This patent protects Exciton’s silver oxysalt technology in combination with any medical device. Silver oxysalts are in the valence state of +1, +2 and +3 and create proven antimicrobial action while using less silver to provide a very efficacious cost effective coating. Silver oxysalts are currently on the market in the exsalt SD7 wound dressing.
